Role & Responsibilities:
• Egg retrieval and sperm preparation:
Assisting with the retrieval of eggs from a patient during an egg retrieval procedure and
preparing sperm samples for fertilization.
• Fertilization techniques:
Performing IVF procedures, including ICSI, where sperm is directly injected into an egg.
• Embryo culture and monitoring:
Cultivating fertilized eggs in a controlled laboratory environment, monitoring their
development and grading their quality.
• Embryo selection and transfer:
Selecting the most viable embryos for transfer to the patient's uterus and performing
the embryo transfer procedure.
• Cryopreservation:
Freezing embryos for future use using cryopreservation techniques.
• Quality control:
Maintaining strict quality control standards in the laboratory, including monitoring
equipment and solutions.
• Record keeping:
Keeping detailed and accurate records of all procedures and patient information.
• Patient communication:
Consulting with patients and providing information regarding their IVF treatment plan.
• Research and development:
Staying updated on the latest advancements in reproductive medicine and potentially
participating in research projects.
